How To Deal With Anxiety

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is a mental health disorder characterised by feelings of worry, anxiety or fear that strong enough to interfere with one's daily activities.

Anxiety is most common of all mental disorders and it affects 1 in 13.

It carries both physical as well as emotional symptoms such as restlessness, irritability, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, nausea, panic disorder, etc.

It leads to sleep disorder, bipolar disorder, eating disorder, post traumatic stress disorder [ PTSD ], obsessive compulsion disorder [ OCD ], etc.

The bright side is, there are multiple ways to curb anxiety.

1. Write down your thoughts

When you let a lot of negative thoughts and fears dwell in your mind and consume all your time and energy, thats when your creating an open door for anxiety,Those thoughts will cause a lot of irritability and restlessness.

Our body is designed to throw out all the unwanted substances either in the way of vomit or you know, from the other end of the oesophagus.

So why do we let our negative thoughts camp in our mind???

Instead, you could just write down all your thoughts. That way you can get it all out.

Then what do you do?

Keep it?


I believe thoughts or words carry a lot of energy. When you write down your negative emotions, you are giving it a physical form. That piece of paper is carrying an immense amount of negative energy!

I suggest you burn it to ashes and throw it away. it will also trick your mind that you have burnt away all your problems!

2. Talk it out

Swallowing your emotions is not going to get you anywhere. Pent up emotions are one among the most dangerous. Asking for help will not make you inferior or needy.

Sometimes all you need is a good listener. It doesn't mater if they give good advice or not. You will have a lot of relief just by getting it all out of your system.

One must also remember the universal law, ASK and you SHALL receive. Do not expect anyone to help you out unless you ask them.

Everyone is drowning in their own personal issues and fighting their own battles.

People are more focused on the grass on their side to check if the grass is greener, or like in this case, yellow-er on the other side.

So don't feel shy or awkward the phone call or text message or the meet up, which might actually work wonders for you.

3. Spend time in the sun

Are you getting enough sunlight ?

Are you sure?

Experiencing anxiety or depression can also mean that you are not getting enough sunlight.

Sounds crazy?

Here, let me break it down for you.

Sunlight increases the serotonin production in our bodies.

What is serotonin?

Serotonin is a chemical that has a wide varieties of functions in the human body. It is sometimes called the Happy Chemical because it contributes to well being and happiness.

Sunlight is also natures way to wake up the bodying set it to work. Performing varies activities will boost our well being and reduce anxiety.

4. Know that you're not alone

There are an estimated 300 million people around the globe who experience anxiety.

You are not alone.

I repeat.


you don't have to feel isolated or the odd one out. You are not weird because you suffer from anxiety. It's okay to feel low at times. it's absolutely normal. There's nothing wrong or strange about you,

What you need to concentrate on is not how anxiety is coming in the way of your life, but on how to overcome it.

Know that you are fighting this battle with 300 million other people, NOT ALONE>

You need to join hands and help others out as well as ALLOW to be helped by others

I hope these tips help you out, at least a little. I know how it feels to go through anxiety. It isn't a joke.

Most people don't understand what we face which lead them to term us weird or pretentious.

But you shouldn't be caring much about them. Concentrate on your health and don't let anything come in your way.
